Fax printer

SilentFax Printer is a virtual printer installed in user workstations. More than a printer, it is a versatile tool to send faxes, email printed documents as PDF attachments or distribute the printed document to a number of fax recipients (i.e. fax distribution).

SilentFax Printer can also be used to create up to 20 fax coverpages per user. Users can then select a coverpage from the list to include in their fax transmissions.

Printing & Faxing

After printing to SilentFax printer, the Welcome screen appears which then guides the user through easy-to-use screens.

Users can
  • Print from multiple applications to combine them into a single fax job.
  • View the fax document after printing and combining multiple documents.
  • Select a coverpage and write coverpage comments.
  • View the fax document with coverpage before submitting.
  • Enter a reference code to track the outgoing faxes.

    • Setup

    For most customers, no setup or customization is required. A user needs to enter his/her email address and profile information only once. SilentFax Printer automatically discovers the SilentFax server and sends the fax job.
    However, in some situations, changing the default setup options may be necessary. The followings are the options the System Administrator can change, customize an individual or all installations.

    Server Discovery: AutoDetect, Manual, By Email (HomeOffice/RemoteOffice)

    User & Company Environment: One user/One company, Multiple users/One company, Multiple users/Multiple companies, Terminal Server / Citrix users

    UI Options: Advanced options like emailing, fax distribution can be hidden to provide a basic fax option.
